Memorable Moments in DC

Hi!
I wanted to start a few posts to share with you some of the pictures and fun things we experienced in Washington DC on "The Getaway" incentive trip I earned with Stampin' Up! based on last years achievements. 

And so it begins, we arrive nice and early and then WAIT for it, yes sit in the plane and wait on the ground in Phoenix for 2 hours at the gate ... 1 of 2 fuel pumps isn't working, so reroute some passangers and cargo and we are off, finally.  Into Chicago and then stay on the same plane and arrive into Dulles, then a shuttle to the hotel The Mayflower and check in about 11:30 ... hurry hit the bar restaurant for some food and call it a night!

The hotel and the beautiful lobby and then as we head up the 7th floor, here's our hallway when you get off the elevator ... reminded both Dave & myself of The Shining, redrum, redrum... but we never had any scary experiences!

 

So as you can see, the hallway is all this, then come to the end of the hallway and it changed up the hallway designs ... we were the room on the right #769  (Rachel always wanted to see in the room with the black door)

 a pretty standard room with two double beds (ugh, not so fun when you're used to a king at home!) but it had plenty of room for the 3 of us and we scored an exterior room, so we had a wall of windows -- look, see Mr Brown (UPS) delivering our "SU! pillow gifts"!

 Okay, well that's how it all started!  I will try to do a post tomorrow sharing our 1st day adventures!  It will take me some time to sort the best photos to share because let's face it, there are just WAY too many!
