Now, it's on to the Bags

Hi!
Hope you are enjoying all of the displays and the close ups of what I put together in my vignettes.  The next few posts will wrap up the Bags & Boxes collection and then I will move along to share a different vignette with you!

I had so much fun just creating for these and this one was one of my absolute FAVORITE ones!  It's just so darn cheery and it fit my color scheme and theme so wonderfully!  LOVE IT when that happens, and it is a Rhonda Original!  Happy to provide and feel free to CASE away if you like it!

These cool kraft & white striped gift sacks come in the Celebration Kit

My Lil Owl creation made with several punches

And tied off with some ribbon & twine and fun tags too!

Well there's one for today, check back tomorrow for a couple of Halloween Treat Bags - seems fitting an all!

Thanks for stopping in!

Pistachio, OMG, Day 3

Hello!

Thanks for coming back, I really appreciate it!  I hope you enjoy today's creation that doesn't end ... it seems like it kept going and going and going!  My sweet friend Becky Roberts  and Sarah S (one of SU!'s Artisan Award Winners) and Michelle Wooderson are all amazing artists and create masterpieces!  This one was inspired by all of them!!

This continues with the same Pistachio Ensemble of supplies that I've been showing you and today this one adds in the new Polka Dot Tag a Bag Gift Bags (p201, $3.95/10).
Here's a look from the top down, to see the pockets and how things are in it.
The actual bag opening holds a 4x6 note card that you can write on and then there are 4 gift tags (any occasion) tucked in behind the candies which are in the front pocket.
And can you see that I actually USED my lil' sewing machine that I bought awhile ago (ashamed to say how long I have been afraid to bust it out)!  This was really fun and came together so quickly, if you consider how much I made in one "hot Friday night date night".  The funny thing when I showed Dave what I'd been doing, he was like "hey, I like everything, wait, are those my Andes mints?"

That's the end of that, it was yummy Pistachio Pudding alright but I wonder what is next.  Stop by to check it out!  What was your favorite piece of the ensemble?  leave me a comment!

Thanks,
Rhonda

Pistachio Ensemble, day 2

Hello again,

Thanks for returning for more!  Since I was really in the groove that night, I moved on to page 14, top left corner sample!  We have an amazing catalog and artists and design teams at the home office.  They spend hours and hours upon hours creating samples to inspire us, so what better place to CASE than from our own catalog!!

CASEng is a great way to get started, it gives you a starting point and then you jump in and begin and before you know it you're doing your own thing!  If you were to take a survey of demonstrators, I'm pretty sure 95% would say they CASE often or at least frequently!  Whether it is straight up a sample, or from a sketch layout, or from a magazine for color inspiration ... nothing wrong with it!  I hope you don't mind me sharing my CASEs!!

For today, I kept with the same series of supplies that are splattered across my studio and this also uses one of the Tag A Bag Gift Boxes on pg 201 ($6.95 for 8 boxes/sleeves) and a bit of the Thick Bakers Twine in Baked Brown Sugar to coordinate with introducing the Kraft color too!

and adding in the other pieces of the Pistachio Ensemble ... here we are so FAR!!

Of course, yes you need to come back!

New Stuff Coming!

Hi!
We have had family in town all week and I have been enjoying each and every moment they are here!  It has been great to wake up and all sit around enjoying a morning conversation, making and planning meals, playing games every night, laughing until we hurt ... I just don't want them to leave!

But I have done a little bit of "work" while they are here, I stamped my swap card for a team swap that I joined showcasing the new Coming Soon products from the Occasions Mini Catalog that begins in January!  As demonstrators one of our fun perks is that we can order 1 month early to have a few weeks to be familiar with the items before they go live to our customers.

Here is the card I made

Really quick, just noting a couple of things I used.

The new Happy Watercolor stamp set and coordination Designers Series Paper package and the NEW scallop top tag punch (drooooool, in love with these!)

I used the Cantaloupe Ruffled Ribbon and some white twine & Modern Label punch to finish off the tag, and it's Crushed Curry Chevron ribbon and a custom dyed doily.
Spritzed the doily with Cantaloupe Refill Ink & rubbing alcohol in one of our Spritzer/Mist bottles and then stamped with Gorgeous Grunge since I wanted to stay with the watercolor theme and pull some color into the bottom corner.

Well that's it!  I'm signing off as today is our last day to spend together!  They leave in the morning and my older brother gets here early afternoon!

I hope you enjoy!
See you again really soon!

My TAG Swap for tonight!

Hi!
Wow, you fell right outta your chair!  Yep it's a blog update from me!  Get back up and sit down ...  hahaha!  Seems like I think about writing often but for whatever reason when I get busy I just don't do it.  Guess I need to really come up with a good challenge and reward for myself in order to make it a habit!  What's that saying, 21 days to make it a habit, well here's day 1 for this round!  Seriously, I will try!  I guess I never think anyone is out there even checking on my lil' o blog.

But for those of you that are, today is the 1st Monday of the month and that's when I host my team meetings for all my SU! downline members.  Every month we have a swap theme (gives us a starting point for what to make and where to begin) and tonight's is TERRIFIC TAGS.  Tags that take over, we are mostly women and it's all in the presentation after all right?  If it's packaged cute we have to have it, even if we don't know what's inside sometimes we wanna buy if for the packaging.  Please tell me I'm not alone here!  ;)

So here's my swap:

It came together quite nicely and it really didn't take that long as I used a lot of punches and of course the Big Shot.  You can't see it as much in the picture but the little red dots on the tree are super sparkly thanks to the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.  The hardest part was trimming out the trees by hand (sure makes you appreciate your framelits when you use a set that doesn't have them) ... but it's okay, I just trimmed while watching Sunday afternoon football with my hubby.

Layers from the back to the front:
  • Large Scallop Circle Die, Cherry Cobbler
  • Large Oval-y Apothecary Framelit, DSP Holiday Stack
  • 1/2 Paper Doily
  • 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Gumball Green Coordinations Paper
  • 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Whisper White  (greeting from Tag It, with Cherry Cobbler ink)
  • Small Oval-y Apothecary Framelit, Early Espresso Coordinations Paper
  • Modern Label Punch, Whisper White (Oh Goodie greeting, markers)
  • Watercolor Paper, hand cut, Tree from Color Me Christmas (aqua painter & markers)
  • Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the circles of the tree
  • Snip of Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Gumball Green Ribbon & Early Espresso 1/8" Tafetta (stapled)
To adhere it to the white gift bag I just used a piece of wide Cherry Cobbler Ribbon from the Holiday Mini and looped it around the handle, used glue dots to secure ribbon and more glue dots to mount the tag to ribbon.

Let me know what you think!  Do you like it?  I can't wait for tonight to see what the other gals made!

Happy Monday, Happy Stamping!

Conv Day 2 - Thurs

Hi there!
So these pic's are from the true actual 1st day of our convention activities with Stampin' Up!  It's the day to check in, take a tour to the corporate head quarters, and then head over to the 1st ever evening opening session!  We've always started convention with a morning session but this year is the 25th Anniversary and the theme is " BE the DIFFERENCE ".  I already shared some of the pics from how it was decorated so I'd like to share a few pics of friends I look forward to seeing at every SU! event we attend!

Kim S --- we've become such good friends, just love her!
Meeting up with Becky too, we have loved getting to know her better each year!
Of course with my traveling trio of Marlene, Diana and I

Snagging a picture with Kevin in the recognition room, the 1st Male Demo'r!  What a nice guy!
Myself and long time friend Melissa, met so long ago just because of Stampin' Up!
and of course I have plenty more pictures to share with you too!  There are so many friends that I did not get pictures with this year (insert really sad face) ...  The time goes by so quickly and there were more people there this year, so longer lines and more crowded so it made it a bit harder to find each other.

Given our family vacation to California and getting home with only a couple of days to prepare, I didn't have a lot of time to stamp but I did get gifts made for my INKin' All Night! girls and I had two organized swaps that I was participating in ... which meant I needed a few cards ready to swap too.

Downline Gifts = New Candy Dots & Brad bases

Halloween Happiness, my swap card with Diana's team

Halloween Bash, my swap card with my INKin' All Night! and Adopted INKers

Thanks for coming back and see you again tomorrow!
