Team Shoe Box Swap
Hello!
Last night was also my team event for May, which was a shoe box swap! The theme for this month was Thinking Of You, which pretty much anything goes and any set and embellishments.
Here's my card, which was inspired by a mini box posted on a Facebook Group for demonstrators sharing artwork and inspiration. Thanks Melissa, my team loved it!
Colors are Sahara Sand and So Saffron, the DSP is Something Borrowed and the flower set is Petal Potpourri and coordinating punch and 1/2" circle punch for the flower centers! I used the Crazy About You stamp set for the greeting and a touch of Sahara Lace trim and White Cotton ribbon to finish it off!
Thanks for stopping by!

Happy 21st Birthday!
Hi!
Well I don't know how it happened but this lil' gal turned 21! I can remember the night before she was born, the anticipation and inability to sleep at all. She was a scheduled C-section since the baby was breech and wouldn't turn during a procedure. And with it being our 1st we had not found out what we were having, so we didn't know who we'd be meeting in the morning. We had a girls name but had not really decided on a boys name, a couple options in the works but didn't agree fully. And it was my 1st real big surgery, so I'm sure that had a little to do with it too!
She's finishing up her 3rd year at the University of Arizona, working on her Physiology major, and has completed the requirements for her Spanish minor, a Biochemistry minor and next year will finish up the Psychology minor. This will be the 1st summer that she's not coming home (insert sad momma face). She'll be working in a research lab. She completed her MCAT (medical school exam) in January and will begin working on her applications. Never dreamed this would be her future, so proud of the young determined woman that she's becoming.
Happy 21st Birthday Nicole!!
Momma loves you more than you know!

A little of my weekend!
Hello!
Well it's here, welcome to May!! The Morgan household month from 'heck' to be polite! Family events will be taking top priority around here! There's no if and or buts about it. We will be celebrating both of my birthday girls this month with milestones, Mother's Day (and both my mom and mother-in-law are coming!) and a high school graduation and more ... so much to do I can hardly focus!
Since we just received the set of pictures from our Senior Pics Photo session, I have to share one of my favorites with you! I hope you don't mind too much!
Last week was Rachel's last Desert Vista High School Spring Show on Thursday and Friday nights! It was so great to see her having fun on stage doing what she loves to do! A favorite from the performances was this one, she and her friend Lauren choreographed this hip hop number together. And I held it together, for all of you that know me, this was a huge success not to let out a trickle of a tear!

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy a peek into my family filled week and some of my special moments. I will be stamping as the weeks allow, so I'll be posting more cards and projects too. This weekend was just a little sentimental.
Come back to see who's birthday it is tomorrow! Show Box Swap team gathering! Dance Banquet on Wednesday! I'll be stamping with the staff from Pieceful Solutions, Autism schools this week as a treat for teacher appreciation week! And to end the week we have our last regular Dance Competition in Mesa at Celebrity Dance on Friday and Saturday! Yep, that's my week! I got this!! Right?
Happy Sunday!

MDS, Make It Personal
Hi!
Since we went the traditional route of High School Announcements, we needed to include the info for her graduation party and we of course wanted to include a Senior Photo too. Since April and May are always so tight for time, I knew better than to think I could hand stamp the quantity that I'd need, ... what better way to get them personalized and still use Stampin' Up! in some way! My Digital Studio!
I basically created a custom size project (sized to fit a 3.5"x5" photo -- which by the way NO ONE prints anymore - ugh, hard lesson learned) and imported her Senior Pic and then added some fun fonts in a text box with the rest of the info! Rachel didn't want to get all crazy with layering and adding embellishments, so we kept it quick and simple!

Rachel didn't want to get all crazy with layering and adding embellishments, so we kept it quick and simple!
And YES, I had to resize my project to a custom 4"x6"photo size (thank you MDS for making this easier than starting over), print and then come home and trim them 1 by 1 to size, taking some off the right and bottom edge so that they would fit in the envelope with the standard invitation. But Tah-Dah, it's done and they were mailed out 3 weeks prior to her party date, so a success in my book!
My Digital Studio
That's all for today folks! Don't forget that MDS My Digital Studio is 'retiring' and tons of digital downloads are on sale and as always enjoy no shipping charges (unless it's a CD item that physically ships) and YES you can enjoy hostess/ stampin rewards with $150 or more too! Get what you WANT before they are GONE forever!
Now is the time to make sure you have actually downloaded all of your prior purchases to your computer and installed them, and then completely BACK UP your software! For me, I know I click to download, then I double-click on the .exe file to initiate the install (which loads it into MDS software).
Also check www.mydigitalstudio.net for any tips and tricks and maybe check out the videos section too before the website is taken down. I know I will be doing the same! I am in the process of 'taking inventory' of what I have and seeing what gaps I want to fill in, what sets I may want as well as all the punches and background papers and probably my favorite thing to purchase are the KITs where you get a little bit of everything!
As long as you back up and installed your downloads, you can continue to use MDS and print at other print houses (vs through SU directly). You can also use any of the SVG files/downloads with your e-cutter tools and software. LOTS of use and life still to come, but sadly we didn't do enough to make this product line profitable over the years in order for SU to continue to offer the levels of support that they have in the past.
I know I love the software but I'm still late to the party myself! I use it more for here and there but still hope someday to make some albums and books, so yep, I'm planning to order those layouts and templates too! It'll make it easy once I get to doing that scrapbooking!
Thanks, Happy Stamping - physical or digital!
