Berry Happy, Good Friday!

Hello,

Crazy blog title, I know, but I am just tickled at how fun these Berry Baskets are to make!  And it's the good kind of addiction after all!  I find myself just wanting to slice open a new package of DSP or cardstock and keep on making them!  I have actually used up my open package of Best Year Ever SAB designer series paper!  I have a few more to share with you too!!

With this one I used the 12x12 Kraft Cardstock, it's a true Kraft color and a different weight than our regular color card stock, a bit heavier and pretty similar to the Under the Tree specialty dsp but this package is not designer printed.
I also, as you can see, decided to leave the handle off this one!  But did you notice the double layer or trim?  Go ahead, take a closer look!  Yep I adhered the basket together with the Kraft scallop pieces and then added the dsp straight edge pieces (handle) on top of that!  I wanted it a little sturdier so that I could add the Calypso Coral Pom Pom trim around it!

And while you are at it, check out that Spiral Flower - how'd I get it to look so full?  I cut TWO pieces and mid-way split one of them in half!  I started in the center by using the half piece with the small scallops, wound it up and then with a dab of hot glue (because it was out and ready) tacked on the 2nd full piece and continued to wind it up, eventually needing to tack on the other half piece with the large scallops.  And yes, it is hot glued to the Basket, this puppy isn't coming off!  I also decided to add the Pom Pom trim with hot glue, little bitty dots of glue under the pom poms holds it tight and keeps it in shape!

Hope you enjoy today's project!  More to come, so come on back to see me!

I would like to wish you a peaceful and calm day of reflection today on Good Friday as we head into our Easter Weekend.  Blessings to you all, I hope you have an amazing weekend!

Hugs,
Rhonda

Berry Baskets Galore

Hi!
I hope you're having a great week so far. I am working on the finishing touches for my INKstravaganza event this weekend with my INKin' All Night! achievers!  I have been making lots of little treats to pamper them with and sharing little tidbit teaser photos on my Facebook business page!  It's so hard to NOT post them in full, but I do want them to feel special and surprised by being the first to see things!

I've also been creating some projects using some of my new items from the Occasions Mini to have on display (Yes, some things haven't been played with Yet!)!  We still have a couple of months to enjoy them, so I hope to get to everything and provide a little inspiration to others. I've certainly been inspired many others sharing their ideas on their blogs and pinterest too!

Here's the so-sad-it's-gone gorgeous Sale-a-Bration, Best Year Ever designer series paper, along with the Berry Basket bigz die, the Bow Builder punch, the handy dandy little stapler and for projects like this my go to Green Tip glue (aka Tombow multi-purpose liquid glue)!

I tried the handles 'squared up' instead of curved this time. It makes it a bit taller and leaves room to add a touch of ribbon (SAB trio pack) and to tie on a tag (adding later).
Here you can see the close up of the bow and I used the dsp to line the inside of the basket and I tucked a partial doily just under this side trim!

Are you wondering what Base Cardstock that is?  It's the Under the Tree Specialty Box card stock from the Holiday Mini with the Kraft side facing out and lined with the pretty SAB DSP!! And it's in the Clearance Rack for just $5 if you hurry!!!

These are just so stinking easy and pretty quick to assemble honsestly!  Did I mention they are a great size too!  Lots of options for gift giving all year, although especially cute in the Spring!  Can't wait to decorate some for Fall too, sure hope this die sticks around and makes it into the next catalog!  Get yours now!

I hope you enjoy!  I'm sorry the baskets are empty but it was a 2am kind of night!!  I felt pretty happy just having some shreddie on hand!  Off to find fun things to fill these with!

Happy Stamping!

April brings Spring, right?

Hello there!

Thanks for stopping by!  It's been so busy with the end of Sale-a-Bration and the Weekly Deals and trying to keep you up to date with announcements... I've been lacking on sharing the creative inspiration that you come to see!  Time to fix that!  I have some new projects and got pictures uploaded so here we go!

Berry Basket Bigz Die!!  Spiral Flower Die!!  Let's get ready for Spring!!  There are a TON of adorable Easter and Bunny baskets out there, so just google or head over to Pinterest and check out my SU! Berry Basket Board for more ideas too!  Since Easter is already upon us pretty much I decided to focus on Spring Ideas!

I used the Under The Tree Specialty Box designer series paper with the Kraft printed side facing out.  I absolutely LOVE this paper, it's such a great sturdy weight for 3D projects!  I sure wish we would have had a spring package but luckily this pack is still available in the Clearance Rack while supplies last, $5!  I selected one of the yellow print sides from the Best Year Ever Sale-a-Bration dsp pack for the basket, which meant it was a perfect match to add in the coordinating ribbon and button from the Best Year Ever SAB Accessory pack!  Thank You Stampin' Up! for doing all of the work for us and making it so easy on our end to create fabulous projects!

Here's a side view so you can see how cute the little ribbon bows are on the sides where the handles are attached.  This was just enough detail and left all of our attention to focus on the front, created of course with the Spiral Flower Die and a dab of hot glue.  I first folded a doily in half over the edge of the basket and adhered with a dab of Green Tip glue (aka, Tombow Liquid Multipurose glue).  I used one of our flower punches to add it a couple petals to act as leaves under the rose with a coordinating pattern of paper (it's the blue bokeh, hard to see in picture).  I added the smallest button to the center of the flower for a finishing touch.  This flower is just 1 of the spiral die pieces, stay tuned later in the week to see what a double looks like!  ;)

The only April Fool's is that I didn't have any treats to add to the basket just yet!

Happy Stamping and have a great day!

More Balloon Bash!

Hi and welcome!

Check out this card ... yep, adorable right?  Well it's CASEd right out of the catalog from page 12 pretty much!  I added a full layer of cardstock for my Bermuda Bay and I stamped the greeting on a separate little strip of white and hand trimmed and popped it up!  It's actually so cute in real life, so if you're local to me in AZ, stop by my OPEN HOUSE on JAN 17th (11a-2p) to check it out!

Wait - did you notice that NEW adorable BOW, yep a handy bow builder punch!

And just in time for spring, look at this adorable BERRY BASKET! It's a Big Shot Die and it only takes 1 sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper to make!  Easy Peasy at it's best!  All assembled with a little bit of liquid multipurpose tombow glue (aka: green tip glue!).  ;)   And of course this picture was taken before I had time to head to the store to find some coordinating candies (Tropical Starbust!).

This basket is finished off with a small strip of the NEW DSP under the scallop top layer, then the NEW flower punch using the NEW DSP again, a 1-1/4" Scallop Circle punch, then a 1" Circle Punch and one of our NEW Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons and White Baker's Twine!

And yes, there's more to the collection so come back tomorrow for more in this series of projects!  If you're loving it, leave me a comment, I'd love to hear from ya!

Happy Stamping,
Rhonda

Demo Day Make-n-Takes

Hi!
Just stopping by to share with you the projects that I provided yesterday at my team meeting, Demo Day Event.  The day was designed with an Open House feel to the flow but we actually fell together into more of a structure which worked well too!  They all kind of came in and viewed the displays, we did some introductions and by far the 'most favorite item from the SAB Brochure' was the Lotus Blossom stamp set (shame, haven't even had time to open mine yet!).

I had two projects for them and after some brief tips and instructions, I let them at it!  They all worked on them and helped each other and chatted while they waited for something ... and it was funny because I was free to take pictures of all their amazing creations that were proudly on display!  I think I got pictures of them all!

oh, okay, what'd they make?

A cute little Love Note (3x3" card/env) and a Berry Basket!
Both projects featured the NEW SAB DSP - drooooooling, seriously I love this color combination and I don't think I will ever have enough of this paper pack and oh did I mention the coordinating ribbons & designer buttons too!  And we used one of the SAB stamp sets on the card/env set!  Easy but Adorable!

There ya go!  Now ya have it!
And for anyone wondering, yes I did go back in time to blog this event.  I had all the pictures but need to get them uploaded and rather than skip blogging the event all together, I decided to blog and post it on the dates I intended to do it!  Hope you don't mind the time travel!

Have a great day!
Rhonda
