Hi
Here's a quick post to say that I absolutely LOVE my team of demonstrators! They sure can turn a bad day into a great day, without much effort! Every year since I have been a demonstrator with a downline at Christmastime, I have held an Annual Dinner Out meeting. This year was my 14th year!! We met and had a lovely dinner and got caught up with one another and what's new and what's coming up in their lives, etc. We have a monthly swap, every December since it's always Friendship or Valentine's, since we are gathering to celebrate the many friendships that Stampin' Up! has brought us and it is the perfect time to be thinking about preparing for the upcoming holiday too!
So here's my swap card - inspired by a couple of other cards - one for layout and one for color combination -- but how funny in the end that my card ended up not looking like either of them. Another THANK YOU to my adopted fellow demonstrator Elizabeth who has become a dear friend through our stamping connection, she let me completely invite myself into her home to borrow her stamps, paper and ink! My studio was in boxes and I had no access to my supplies ... she just said come in and we stamped! I am fine when someone needs me to help them out but I feel guilty and completely awkward asking for help but she was so happy to have her turn, coming to my rescue! BIG FAT THANK YOU !!!
Okay okay, here it is! And a thank you to Diana, because I only made 8 cards and gave them all out and didn't even keep one for myself! So she took the lovely picture for me! hugs!
The card is a base of whisper white, layered with a small layer of Primrose Petals, then the Cherry Cobbler Coordination's cardstock that was run through the big shot (liked it better un-sanded). Added a bit of the Primrose Petals ribbon, a dash of the White Organdy and White Taffeta to give it some extra tails, and a bow of Primrose too. The Friend greeting is from the Affection Collection stamp set and stamped in Primrose and hand cut the tail. The little tiny tags image was punched the from the same stamped image as the main LOVE heart focal image. Speaking of that beauty, it is one of the NEW Single Image Stamps! Stamped in Primrose and punched out with the Full Heart Punch, layered up on the Scallop Dotted Heart Embosslit.
I'll try to get back here and give you another post soon with the Secret Stamper Gift I received -- another holiday dinner tradition -- and yep, I was stolen from many times (ah-hem Elizabeth, Marlene and anyone else I'm forgetting) but I am a lucky girl still because I love the gift I received from Kathya! :)
More to come! Thanks for stopping by! I am finally moving back into the Stamp Studio! They finished up on Monday, so I have been busy moving the dining room and stamp room things back into their places! Even decided to do a little rearrange in the studio, thinking I will like it once it's all done!
So, back to work I go!

------ and to add a little STUDIO update ------
The studio is still in boxes but we are making slight progress, so I'm thankful for that but really not happy at how slow it's moving and the fact that it has basically shut me down for almost a month already and we're not at the end of the tunnel yet.
They came yesterday and repaired all the drywall to the walls, and were able to repaint all the rooms that were impacted (basically formal dining & living room aka stamp studio). Kitchen area near the refrigerator and cupboards were completed as well. So now the room looks better but we still have no floors and a bare concrete slab.
Flooring contract has been signed so we are hoping it's "on order" and waiting for it to arrive and be installed, then it'll be the fun job of moving in again.

Hi!
It sure has been a busy whirlwind of a month since I last blogged. A lot has happened and the quick update is that we had a water leak, yep, right in the area of the house that my Stampin Studio resides in... so it has created chaos and havoc to my little corner of the world... but I'm still thankful that I have a house and it just needs repairs (that no one else seems to think needs to happen very quickly ... grrr!). I miss the classes that I had planned to offer, and SOON hopefully we can all get back to stamping in the studio!

Swaps, oh so pretty!!
Hi again!
So yesterday was a wonderful day as I found myself reflecting all throughout the day on all of the special people I have met and the places I've traveled to during my years as a demonstrator. It was a great day and I thank my dear hubby, daughters and my friends, family and customers SO MUCH for your support and letting me share Stampin' Up! with you!
Speaking of sharing, we love to share at my team downline meetings! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I host a SHOE BOX SWAP once a quarter and it was Monday night. We had a blast and I was tucked in the middle of the back and never made it out to take any pictures of us in action (mental note to self, sit somewhere else next time!) but I do have a picture of our wonderful designs. If you see something that looks like yours, then you might have been CASEd, but I am so happy to personally have each of these in my stash! You just might see some of them in an upcoming Holiday Card Class or Stamp-A-Stack!
And here is Marjori's card, it was definitely a favorite of the night for many!

Hi!
I can remember that summer so well, it was the summer of the UPS Strike and I was waiting for my friend Mindy's sister to get her Stampin' Up! starter kit so we could go to her party! Finally Robin got her kit and Mindy hosted her 1st party for her, I went, fell in love and instantly said, I'd like "stitched snowman and a basic black ink pad" & "the paperwork to join" .... she just about fell over!
Got my starter kit and about a week later if that, I ended up having to be the demo at my own party that I was hostessing (because I wanted the freebies like Mindy!) because Robin was sick, so she told me to do it myself. Well, I don't think I would have ever held a party/workshop if it wasn't for that day. Of course I had been a great hostess and was over eager to earn a bunch of stamp stuff for FREE, so everyone came and I now found myself sitting in front of them... demo'g basically what I watched Robin demo at Mindy's. It just all happened, people were ordering and wanting to book parties for them and their friends. ONLY THING WRONG was that I was just doing this to get the discount!! It never occurred to me that I might have the chance to go do this for someone else outside my home ... well when the paycheck came, it was like, oh that's not so hard, I think I can do that once a month, little fun money on the side to help pay for what I want.
................. 15 years later ..................... anyone wanna host a party? I'm game if you are!!
Here's a picture of me attending my 1st Stampin' Up! annual convention -- my 1st was their 10 Year Anniversary ... which makes this year the 25th Year (and it'll be my 16th consecutive convention and I'll get to do the 15 yr milestone walk on stage!). Celebrate your Stamp on America was the theme - wonder what this years theme will be?

Kelly, Rhonda, Jeannie, Erin, Julie and Sue - dressed up on awards night
these were some of my best stamping friends - when there's so few, you really get to know each other well.
Sadly I am the only one of the bunch that is still a demonstrator but we still stay in touch. :)

A view of the crowd from the top of an escalator, I just could not believe that we were all demonstrators, it was crazy busy, loud music pumpin' all the time, everywhere, so much stamping, so many things to see!
I even forgot to call home to my hubby, 4 yr old and 1 yr old to tell them I had made it! I was that busy!
Have a great day!

1st time for everything!
Yep! There's a first time for everything and even at my age, I had a FIRST yesterday! I went actual antique shopping for the very first time! Diana always goes and she lives out in the boonies compared to me in the city and we are about an hour apart distance wise ... but her hubby works over here by me, so I think they should just move! But they won't and I won't so we have to settle for visits and making the most of our days and time that we get to spend together! And she's my downline and event co-host, partner in crime so a lot of our time together is actually spent on business and not so much leisure girlfriend time. Anyhow, she had to bring her truck in for service and her dealer happens to be over by me, and my team meeting was last night, so that meant I got to capture her for the day.
I surprised her by getting tea at AJ's, ok so not such a shock there but again, she doesn't have one on her side of town, so it counts ... and when we got back in my truck I said, hmmm wanna go to the antique store in Scottsdale? She sure lit up with a smile, I hadn't mentioned it and she didn't realize it was my first time and that I was a "virgin" old gal ...
Off we went and it was literally HOURS later and we had been in just this one big o place -- seriously my eyes were on overload! So much stuff, so many memories of things from growing up, things I remember from TV or my grandparents houses, etc ... kind of a fun trip down memory lane too.
So here's my first find of the day! Look at this little Halloween Spooky Tree gem ... all twisted wire and sparkly -- and when we got home, Diana went right to work finding it a space on my display shelf and adding a few treats from last years projects to pretty it up and she even stole (ha! relocated really!) a few from my class that's coming up this month too!
And these were my other purchases from the day, a mix of Ball (blue) and Atlas (square clear) and I think one might be Kerr too (littler one) canning jars, and one was filled with mostly wood spools which makes me think of my mom, the seamstress! Maybe next week I can raid her stash and then I'll feel like she's in my stamp room with me!
Anyway I hope you enjoyed my FIRST and my little finds and thanks to Diana, there's even a little stamping shared with today's post. The little halloween treat boxes were made last year using the CANDY WRAPPER die and a variety of punches!
Have a great day and see you soon!

No Peeking!
Hi,
I hope you had a great weekend and thanks for stopping back by today! I did the dreaded paperwork for the business over the weekend! For whatever reason, we filed for an extension on our taxes this year, so of course that moved the deadline and any good procrastinator knows what that means! It's actually not that hard and once you are in your groove, it's goes pretty easy. But hey, they are done and now it's back to the fun stuff!!
I can hardly believe it's already OCTOBER -- which is great if you live in Arizona because it means that an end to summer temperatures in within sight now! And for those of you else where in the country it means that you are getting to enjoy a beautiful Fall and the gorgeous changes of the seasons. I do miss Fall the most, I love the leaves changing and the temps being cool and crisp (see, I did not say cold! not so fun).
For a card maker though October is the perfect time to be making all of your holiday home made projects! I have several classes offered for Halloween, Christmas and an All Seasons card class this month too! Let me know if you want the details or if you want to sign up! November will also hold many more card classes to get your personal holiday cards made so stay tuned for those dates!
And it's the 1st Monday of the month so that means it is my monthly INKin' All Night! team meeting tonight! Once a quarter I host it at a local restaurant (yum, Keegan's Tavern & Grill) and several of us meet an hour early to eat dinner as a way to thank them for letting us use their large back room! Then after dinner we have a SHOE BOX SWAP -- and we stamp 8 cards, passing the boxes around the table. It's a fun way to get to know each other, everyone can participate, you learn little tips and tricks from the people seated near you and it's a bit of a break from the traditional format of my meetings that are held in my home. So it gives a nice variety during the quarter to my team.
So, on to the fun stuff --- ever since the catalog came out, I knew I had to have this set since I cannot resist a cute little snowman! And the other little gems in there are pretty cute too! I started out to use it back in August for my swap card and ended up with a completely different card, not using the set at all. So once taxes were done and I could break open the stamping tables again, out it came! Just this set, the designer paper I wanted to use, the coordinating colors of card stock, and some accessories to get the juices going ..
And what's even better is getting to have a friend over to stamp with - so Elizabeth came over and worked on her swap too (Debbie decided on a ball game instead - insert sad face here)! Well like I said, I LOVE the little snowman! What, What snowman you say? Well that would be a Penguin I guess -- I was out voted because Elizabeth and my darling sweet Miss Rachel said I had to use the Penguin!! 2 against 1, sorry little snowman, you're next!

Toxic Treats Swap
Hi!
Another quickie post as I'm still working on the paperwork side of the business!
Each month I host a meeting or get together of some sorts for my INKin' All Night! demonstrator team and we always swap cards for ideas! So for September our theme was "Fall or Halloween" and I chose do make this card! Hope you like it! And I figured I'd better get it posted because our next meeting is a Shoe Box Swap and it's only days away! I love getting together with my team!
I used the Neutrals DSP for the background paper, stamped the fence/bird directly to it and then there is the Lace Doilie sizzlit die cut with basic black card stock, and then some strips of a coordinating pattern dsp and the striped gray/black ribbon for the little flag dealies, and the main image and greeting are from the fabulous set Toxic Treats from the Holiday Mini Catalog ... die cut out with the amazing coordinating framelits!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you like my 'new place' ... no place like home, there's no place like home
Hugs

Clean and Simple, it's a CASE
Howdy!
Today needs to be quick, I have to make the hubby happy and work on the 'paperwork' side of my business today. I came across a card from Debbie Henderson and it just made me happy, so I decided to dig out the set and get started! Gotta LOVE putting ink to a new stamp set! I didn't have much time so I pretty much CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) it, other than modifying to fit the designer series paper that I had on hand, which led to a slight change in colors & ribbon. Thanks Debbie for the inspiration!
This card uses several NEW and FUN products! The Friendship Preserves stamp set, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral ink pads, which are the colors in the piece of Floral District Designer Series Paper, Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon and the layers were cut out with the Window Frames Collection of framelit dies -- these puppies make hand trimming a thing of the past -- and the coordinating Paper Piercing Pack with our new Piercing Tool and Mat, and the fun detail on the top is acheived using the Delicate Designs TIEF (textured impression embossing folder). Sounds like a mouthful but seriously this card came together so quickly -- you'll probably see it in a card class later this month!
If you would like to order any of the items featured in the card or any other product, you can order online anytime from the convenience of my website and you can view the catalog, holiday catalog and simply click the shop now button! thanks!
Have a great day!

Last of the BOOTIFUL works!
Hi
Hope you are having a great start to your weekend! Going to try to keep this post short and sweet! So at the end of our play date, we had that awesome stack of BOOTIFUL cards so we decided that we needed something to put them in.
We found the directions online or in Pinterest is my guess ... here's what we came up with! The box is made with one sheet of 12x12 paper and scored using the diagonal score tool and our Simply Scored board.
We stamped and I went to town coloring and coloring and coloring ... a mindless couple of hours I think... but in the end, I actually really like all the boots being colored in!
We added the Belly Band of black to give it a little bit more firmness since we stamped on Whisper White.
And then we made this yummy yummy flower and topped it off with a Faceted Button! We used the Blossom Punch, several layers and misted them with water, scrunched them up, and even sliced in between each petal towards the center so it'd fluff up a lot!
And here we are with the finished box and all of the cards with their coordinating decorated envelopes! I really love it so I don't know if I can part with it but it sure would make a great gift for someone! I hope you have enjoyed seeing the results of my 'play dates' ...! We do have a good time!
Thanks and have a great day!

More BOOTIFUL-ness!
Hi
I wanted to share some other BOOTIFUL creations with you! Here are a few other cards that I made during our play dates as we like to call them! Makes it sound youthful and it pretty much describes our time perfectly!
This card is a combination of inspiration from a few other cards ... we just picked elements from cards that we found online or wherever and went to work (I mean play!).
There is a black base for the card, and then there is a black layer 1/4" shorter each way -- on this layer we placed several circle punches from a variety of sizes filling up about 2/3rds of the layer. We then ran it through the square lattice TIEF (textured impressions embossing folder) -- this effect is so cool it makes all those circle punches look like are melted right into this layer! We added some flag strips (so in right now) in coordinating colors from our designer series patterned papers, stamped a greeting and punched it out, stapled it on! Then wrap some polka dot black scallop ribbon around (never too many dots!) and finally stamped the Funky Boot in black and used the markers to color it in, trim it out and add a button tied off with some of our fabulous bakers twine and set up with dimensionals. WHEW!
And for this next guy I decided to use the little border hearts TIEF along the top and bottom edge of the card, and it's a strip of DSP and a small scallop edge of the dotted ribbon scallop punch. The boot was stamped in Midnight Muse ink and colored in with the markers. Add a flower punch and a Summer Starfruit Dahlia and some coordinating ribbon and a glimmer brad! Tah-dah!
And this card I do believe was our first card of the day. It is basically a CASE (copy and share everything) from another talented stamper (will have to come back and edit to see if I can find who it might have originated from) and we changed it up a bit with different ribbon and I think we added the extra layer of gumball green! This is also the same trick where the 3 layers of red/green/yellow were all mounted and then run through the Chevron TIEF for this card! Love it!
I hope you enjoy these BOOTIFUL cards and come back again soon!

BOOTIFUL warm wishes
Hi
Well, it's not Monday and I missed posting yesterday! I spent yesterday driving down to Tucson to pick up Nicole from U of A to head back up to Phoenix for a doctors appointment (her 3 mo surgery post op). We grabbed a quick lunch to eat in the car on the way back down to Tucson. Made a really quick stop, barely got a hug and then I was on the road again, stuck in the slowest moving traffic jam ... it finally opened up and eventually made it back to the house! All said, I think I was gone close to 10 hours! Seriously and it's really only about an hour and 45 minutes from our exit to her dorm ...
So for today, here's another project & a tip from my BOOTIFUL play date with Elizabeth!
This card was one of our last cards to make that day, as we both weren't in love with the holiday boot, but we combined several things from here and there and this is what we ended up with (and remember to make sure your envelope is cute too!). New textured impressions embossing folder, framelit die cut for the red polka dots layer, and the white layer beneath the boot too, then the cool trick of adding a layer to it, new gumball green ribbon and tied off with some baker's twine and a tag --- oh and TONS of dazzling details glitter glue! We stamped the boot actually 3 times, once on red polka dot dsp, then cut out boot section (not the top cloud puffy section or off to the side pom pom, and 2 times on white. On one of the white layers you cut out everything, this becomes your base layer, then you piece your polka dot layer on, and then you add the very last layer of white which is the top puffy cloud and the little pom pom that is on the boot (polka dot side) - to bring the white glittery pom pom back to the top!
note: never mind the hole punches ... this is actually a picture for a tutorial that's coming up later for another project Here's a picture showing you how to create the layer around the framelit (which is the white layer), you simply measure and add a rectangle of choice color (gumball green) and then the 1" circle punch is added to each edge around the rounded part! Tah-dah!!! A perfect layer that is easy peasy!
Have a great day! See you tomorrow!

I had a BOOTIFUL play date!
Hi
I hope you are having a great weekend and getting to do some fun, creative things! One of my very dear friends Elizabeth called the other day and said, hey do you wanna come over and play? Well, I said absolutely, see you in an hour ... I brought the stamp set BOOTIFUL OCCASIONS and some designer series papers, and off we went.
Here's what we did! I may spread it out over a few days but I will show you all of the projects because it was super fun! We had each pulled some favorites from the web to get our own creative juices going, sometimes its fun to CASE (Copy And Share/Steal Everything) but more times, we start with a layout or color combination or just have a certain piece of the project that you like ... so, thanks to the others that share their ideas online and I hope you can find some inspiration from our play date too!
Here's one of our personal favorite cards of the day! It's not the first one we made, but we definitely were in our groove by the time we came to using the cowboy boot! Here's the card and another angel so you can see the depth, we just kept adding more and more until we finally felt like it was complete! We LOVE it, so I hope you do too!

We used the woodgrain textured embossing folder on the crumb cake layer, the red scallop was done using the large scallop edgelit, and the red polka dot lollie layer was created using the rosette die, the blue scallop ribbon layer was created using the BLUE RIBBON stamp set, and we added some Midnight Muse ribbon to the ribbon tails to give it just a bit more texture. We stamped the boot and just colored in pieces and hand cut it out and added some twine to give us a lasso to complete the cowboy look.
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon!
