Hello there!

Well I hope you were able to view the Holiday Sale Flyer or check it out online via the store.  I mentioned in yesterdays post the Weekly Specials and received a question ... yep, these were originally announced to happen weekly in Oct as part of SU! 25th Anniversary Month Celebration.  They decided to continue them, so I am checking each Tuesday to see if a new week is announced and if there are new items, then I will continue to post them on my Facebook Business Page (like my page if you haven't already -- INKin' All Night! with Rhonda) and I will also be posting them here on my blog.

The following items are part of this weeks WEEKLY SPECIALS and only available during these days.

Personally I had to order the Chevron Ribbons and Talking Tags as I already have the other items but I think the Chocolate Chip ribbon will be awesome for Valentine's mixed with some reds and the Pumpkin will be ideal for some upcoming Spring & Easter things!

Thank you for visiting my ONLINE STORE if you would like to place an order, it's very much appreciated!

Okay, I'm off to take some pictures of my recent cards from my classes so we can get back to the other fun stuff -- what to make with the awesome products that we offer!

Thank You for stopping by!  See you tomorrow!

The Last of the Tags!

Good Morning!

We are headed off to see Nicole today in Tucson!  We weren't all available for Family Weekend, so we are doing our own thing today, family lunch, brunch, dinner ... whatever we want to make of the day!

So in order to be quick, here are the last but equally beautiful tags that were swapped on Monday night!  Do enjoy and next week I'll be here with some cards from my recent classes or even a sneak peek at my upcoming classes!

These were swapped by Cindy and Monica!  Thank you so much for swapping!  I love this Christmas greeting and adding the chevrons from the punch!  Great and easy to crank a bunch of these out!  And Monica used the Daydream Medallions and stamped almost every layer!  I love it, with all new In Colors!!

Okay, I'm off!
Happy Sunday and come back tomorrow for some more!

Blue & Bling Baby!!

Hi there!

Well dang it, where'd yetesterday go?  Oh I know, I was busy crafting with Rachel for her little campers!  She is a counselor for the middle school "Minitown" camp and she was in charge of creating name tags & more for her 11 cabin kids.  Her and her co-counselor decided on a theme of Toddlers & Tiara's for their cabin ... so name tags are princess sashes with cute little flowers on the lapel and pins and a bow on the bottom where the ribbons cross!  And candy treats (Ring Pops, Candy Necklaces & Bracelets) which of course needed a blinged out princess treat pail and a huge (ok, very large maybe not huge) Baby Bottle full of just the pink/reds of Starburst.  We also made a door decoration and she wanted a big rosette and blinged it out of course.  And don't ya know ... NOPE naddah a picture by me  :(   Will have to hope that she takes some pic's that I can share with you later!

So today we will make up for nothing yesterday by sharing a couple of the swaps from Monday's team meeting!  These were swapped by Tari and Debbie -- so pretty in real life!  Shiny & Sparkly!  Both were made using the Winter Frost DSP Stack from the Holiday Mini catalog!  Things come together so quick when you combine the Big Shot dies and framelits with our punches and a few ready to go embellishments and you get GORGEOUS results!

Thanks, see ya tomorrow!

Bow Tutorial for that cute little bow

Hey there!

I'm back with the FREE TUTORIAL on how to make that cute little bow from the Envelope Box the other day.  This might get long but I wanted you to see in pics the steps to make it.  I'm not ready to make a video yet, so I hope this will do!

You will need 3 of the smaller oval punch and 4 of the larger oval punch

Then you will want your trusty Mini Glue Dots and some Paper Snips.

On 2 of the Large Ovals you will want to snip away to create the 'fish tail' end cut

Then with 1 mini glue dot, stack one oval just slightly over the other oval of same size for 1 set of Large and 1 set of Small Ovals.

The last Small Oval remains until the end

With 1 mini glue dot on an edge of the oval, fold and adhere to center where ovals meet.   do this for each size of oval pairs.

I don't know if you can really see it in the photo but I like to alternate my sides to come into the center ... hoping it creates strength somehow I guess ... in the end it probably doesn't matter

Repeat with 1 mini glue dot on the other edge and bring 2nd side of oval into center, creating the layer of the bow.  do this for each size of oval pairs.

Using 1 mini glue dot mount each of the bottom L/R fish tail ends under the L/R layer of the bow

Now you can use 1 mini glue dot and adhere the smaller oval to the center of the larger oval, thus creating the 2 layers of bow and bottom layer ribbon ends

The last Small Oval is just to create a bit of strength to the bow

I am showing it with the opposite side of pattern facing up so you can see where I placed it

but here's what it looks like once I adhered it with 2 mini glue dots

and here is the finished view of the paper layers

you could wrap with paper around the center or ribbon or add a button with twine like I did

And here's that cute little Envelope Box and the pretty little paper bow

I hope you give it a try!  I'll be back with some pictures of the swaps I received at my team meeting next, so stop by again!

Thanks, happy stamping!

Such a cute little container

Hello again!

Well here we are together again for 2 days in a row!  Today I have a quick little container that I made with the new ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD that was released in September.  Yes of course it does envelopes but all the creative juices are flowing all over the internet and you really can do so much more than just make custom envelopes (oh did I mention, 66 different sizes of envelopes!!)  -- in case you needed more convincing of why you need this cool tool.  Now you will WANT it even more!

This little gem is made from a 5.5" square piece of paper & some trimmings for sprucing it up!  If you want to watch a video, visit http://pootles.co.uk/

You start with a 5.5" square piece of paper (card stock or designers series paper

With your Envelope Punch Board, align paper at the top by the ruler guide, slide the left edge of paper down to 2" mark, you will punch and score, slide to 2-5/8" and punch and score

Turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and align the score line you just made up with the score guide, punch and score  (repeat for 2nd score line)

Turn 90 degrees counterclockwise and repeat the process for both score lines

You ONLY do this for 3 sides since our envelope box is going to stay open (it's sturdier if you don't score the 4th side)

Fold on all score lines, cut or slit little tabs on bottom edge to either tuck sides in or just cut off.  Fold bottom up, then fold Left and Right sides in/over -- can secure with just a few glue dots!

After my envelope box was made, I decided to spruce it up with some trimmings!  Just a small 1" strip around and then a small little layered bow topped off with a tiny button and some twine!  All added with more glue dots -- seriously one of my best friends and most reached for must have items in my studio!

Come back tomorrow and I'll show you how to make the cute little bow!  And can you see that cute little decorative edge on the strip of DSP?  Where'd that come from you ask?  It's the new Rotary Blades for the 12" paper trimmer!  So easy and way cuter than a straight edge, there's a couple of decorative blades to try!

Okay!  See you tomorrow!

My TAG Swap for tonight!

Hi!
Wow, you fell right outta your chair!  Yep it's a blog update from me!  Get back up and sit down ...  hahaha!  Seems like I think about writing often but for whatever reason when I get busy I just don't do it.  Guess I need to really come up with a good challenge and reward for myself in order to make it a habit!  What's that saying, 21 days to make it a habit, well here's day 1 for this round!  Seriously, I will try!  I guess I never think anyone is out there even checking on my lil' o blog.

But for those of you that are, today is the 1st Monday of the month and that's when I host my team meetings for all my SU! downline members.  Every month we have a swap theme (gives us a starting point for what to make and where to begin) and tonight's is TERRIFIC TAGS.  Tags that take over, we are mostly women and it's all in the presentation after all right?  If it's packaged cute we have to have it, even if we don't know what's inside sometimes we wanna buy if for the packaging.  Please tell me I'm not alone here!  ;)

So here's my swap:

It came together quite nicely and it really didn't take that long as I used a lot of punches and of course the Big Shot.  You can't see it as much in the picture but the little red dots on the tree are super sparkly thanks to the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details.  The hardest part was trimming out the trees by hand (sure makes you appreciate your framelits when you use a set that doesn't have them) ... but it's okay, I just trimmed while watching Sunday afternoon football with my hubby.

Layers from the back to the front:
  • Large Scallop Circle Die, Cherry Cobbler
  • Large Oval-y Apothecary Framelit, DSP Holiday Stack
  • 1/2 Paper Doily
  • 2-3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, Gumball Green Coordinations Paper
  • 1-3/4" Circle Punch, Whisper White  (greeting from Tag It, with Cherry Cobbler ink)
  • Small Oval-y Apothecary Framelit, Early Espresso Coordinations Paper
  • Modern Label Punch, Whisper White (Oh Goodie greeting, markers)
  • Watercolor Paper, hand cut, Tree from Color Me Christmas (aqua painter & markers)
  • Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on the circles of the tree
  • Snip of Cherry Cobbler Chevron Ribbon, Gumball Green Ribbon & Early Espresso 1/8" Tafetta (stapled)
To adhere it to the white gift bag I just used a piece of wide Cherry Cobbler Ribbon from the Holiday Mini and looped it around the handle, used glue dots to secure ribbon and more glue dots to mount the tag to ribbon.

Let me know what you think!  Do you like it?  I can't wait for tonight to see what the other gals made!

Happy Monday, Happy Stamping!
Rhonda
