MDS, Make It Personal

Hi!

Since we went the traditional route of High School Announcements, we needed to include the info for her graduation party and we of course wanted to include a Senior Photo too.  Since April and May are always so tight for time, I knew better than to think I could hand stamp the quantity that I'd need, ... what better way to get them personalized and still use Stampin' Up! in some way!  My Digital Studio!

I basically created a custom size project (sized to fit a 3.5"x5" photo -- which by the way NO ONE prints anymore - ugh, hard lesson learned) and imported her Senior Pic and then added some fun fonts in a text box with the rest of the info!  Rachel didn't want to get all crazy with layering and adding embellishments, so we kept it quick and simple!

And YES, I had to resize my project to a custom 4"x6"photo size (thank you MDS for making this easier than starting over), print and then come home and trim them 1 by 1 to size, taking some off the right and bottom edge so that they would fit in the envelope with the standard invitation.  But Tah-Dah, it's done and they were mailed out 3 weeks prior to her party date, so a success in my book!

My Digital Studio
That's all for today folks!  Don't forget that MDS My Digital Studio is 'retiring' and tons of digital downloads are on sale and as always enjoy no shipping charges (unless it's a CD item that physically ships) and YES you can enjoy hostess/ stampin rewards with $150 or more too!  Get what you WANT before they are GONE forever!

Now is the time to make sure you have actually downloaded all of your prior purchases to your computer and installed them, and then completely BACK UP your software!  For me, I know I click to download, then I double-click on the .exe file to initiate the install (which loads it into MDS software).

Also check www.mydigitalstudio.net for any tips and tricks and maybe check out the videos section too before the website is taken down.  I know I will be doing the same!  I am in the process of 'taking inventory' of what I have and seeing what gaps I want to fill in, what sets I may want as well as all the punches and background papers and probably my favorite thing to purchase are the KITs where you get a little bit of everything!

As long as you back up and installed your downloads, you can continue to use MDS and print at other print houses (vs through SU directly).  You can also use any of the SVG files/downloads with your e-cutter tools and software.  LOTS of use and life still to come, but sadly we didn't do enough to make this product line profitable over the years in order for SU to continue to offer the levels of support that they have in the past.

I know I love the software but I'm still late to the party myself!  I use it more for here and there but still hope someday to make some albums and books, so yep, I'm planning to order those layouts and templates too!  It'll make it easy once I get to doing that scrapbooking!

Thanks, Happy Stamping - physical or digital!
Rhonda
