Can't Thank You Enough (for being in club!)

Happy Friday Everyone!

To finish off the week, here is the third card that they made at Club on Monday this week!  I just love this paper pack, how many times have I said that this week!  O M G ... I bet you are either inspired to use yours or you are hoping I move on to a new stack soon (yep, there's a new one waiting to be cracked open!!).

This was a CASE basically too other than the picture that I found online has no watermark on it, and it was awhile ago so I have no idea who to thank!  If it's yours, let me know.  I changed the paper to the Coastal Cabana prints and changed the colors and ribbons, but the card was so cute and again, my club gals loved the simplicity of it!!  It is very easy for them to duplicate at home too!

And last month and this month, I simplified from doing 4 projects back to only 3 (which is what I had originally started with) but I have added the Envelope Liners and they are all commenting that they are SO HAPPY because they want quick, cute and easy!  And I have to say that I am so tickled at how nice it is to have a pretty inside to the envelope!  It just says HELLO, I'm cute!
Do you have the Envelope Liner Framelits yet?  Would you like a set of them?  Let me know, they are addicting and come in 3 sizes, and you can cut multiple sheets at once too!  Oh and you can make other fun little things with them too!  I have another little thing I can show you, just need to find it, take photos and upload them, maybe tomorrow!

Thanks!  Hope you have a great weekend!!

Fresh Prints, Really!

Hello!

Here's another fun make-n-take project that my club gals made on Monday!  They meet once a month and I provide 3 make-n-takes for them for FREE ($10 value)!  It's a fun little break, they get some Q&A time, and help placing their club orders, & socialize a bit with each other.  It's structured as a drop in, come and go as you need - this way it can fit in with their day.

This card features my favorite FRESH PRINTS DSP Stack ... seriously LOVE every color combination possible with it!  And they just stamped the front layer of the white card and then the rest is quick work with a doily folded in half and some punched flower images layered up and topped off with a rhinestone (why are they retiring the big ones?) and some ribbon!  Gorgeous Grunge & Really Great Greetings, Crumb Cake, Baked Brown Sugar and Real Red.

inspired by this card by Becky Roberts, kept the layout but changed up a few things

I'll share the third card tomorrow!  If you think you'd be interested in joining my monthly stampers club, I have new groups forming NOW for June-Dec! We start in June, so holler at me and I'll get more details to you along with your FREE catalog too!  Club groups accommodate local and long distance, even out of state members so don't worry if you don't live next door!  I do make and mail the completed cards to the long distance gals since they don't have the option to attend in person.  I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day!  See you again soon,
Rhonda

Display brought to Life

Hello!

A stamping project for you!  While I was in Idaho at Becky's event, one of the display vignettes was her Woodland Display featuring lots of cute adorable things! The whole display just makes me happy!  I love the colors, the little houses, and the OWLS of course are the bomb ... and she had several samples using the Take Care stamp set (p 96 IB&C) which I have and sadly, had NOT inked up yet!  So I decided that my Club INK gals would get a little bit of Idaho for themselves, they so enjoyed knowing I was sharing a little of my trip with them!

My photo is of artwork displayed at her Boise, ID event, created by Becky Roberts, Inking Idaho.

And here is the card that they got to make on Monday at Club Night!  I actually had the stamping done for them to save them time because they had some hand trimming to do ... not gonna lie, those little eggs are little but so worth it!!  The loved the simple layer technique on an angle and trimming off the excess.  Adds a lot without a lot of bulk to the card!  Super Cute!!  Super Fun!!  Kind of makes me want to make one of EVERYTHING!

hand stamped by Rhonda Morgan, CASEd from Becky Roberts
Take Care Stamp Set p96, Four You Stamp Set p22,
Fresh Prints DSP Stack, Whisper White & Pear Pizazz cardstock,
StazOn Black ink, Early Espresso ink & sponge for nest, & Pool Party ink for eggs
Little Leaves sizzlit die and retired Pear Pizazz or Pool Party baker's twine

Happy Stamping & Come Back Soon to see what else they made Monday night!

Thanks!!

My May Swap Card

Hello!

Each month I host a team gathering for my INKin' All Night! team of demonstrators, and of course we have a swap every month!  It's a great way to share and gather ideas and to make sure we are actually stamping too! Ever get mad at yourself when you buy something and just "don't get to using it" ... well this encourages us to stamp every month!

For May we had a Shoe Box Swap, where we meet and make the swap cards at a local restaurant.  My neighborhood Keegan's Grill & Taproom is so awesome!  They let me use the big back room anytime, no charge and the service is great!  I do ask if possible for people that can to join us for dinner an hour early so that we are supporting them with our business as well!  They even do single tickets, full menu, fill our drinks from the time we get there until we leave.  Did I say they are AMAZING!

So here was my swap card!  You may have seen a teaser of it on my business Facebook Page - if not, be sure to like me so you don't miss out on whatever tidbits I share there too!  The theme for May was Birthday or Masculine

Stamps:
Gorgeous Grunge (never gets put away)
Four Frames
Wetlands

Inks & Paper:
Crisp Cantaloupe
Pistachio Pudding
Island Indigo
Chocolate Chip
Venetian Romance DSP
Ivory Naturals cardstock
Baked Brown Sugar

Decorative Label Punch
Oval Punch
Angled Tag Topper Punch
Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled Ribbon
Island Indigo Bakers Twine
Framelits
Clips

Well this one was out of my normal color scheme but I like the way it turned out!  Hope you have a great day!

Thanks for stopping by,
Rhonda

One for the Dads

Hi!

Just to even out the love, here's the card that I have had ready since forever (joined a masculine card swap some time ago) for my Father's Day cards!  Yes they are sitting here waiting to be mailed and I honestly think I should just mail them now with a stamp that says "Do Not Open Until ..."   that way they have them when the day finally rolls around!  Lord knows that they will be sitting here on Father's Day if I don't!!  But I will challenge myself to mail them the week before!  Someone remind me! ;)

This card features one of my favorite color combinations!

Inks & Paper:
Bermuda Bay & Basic Black & Smokey Slate

Stamps:
Delightful Dozen
Simply Stars
Gorgeous Grunge

Accessories:
Island Indigo bakers twine
Black Chevron ribbon
Metal buttons

Chalk Talk Framelits
Scallop Tag Topper Punch (for the black layer behind the greeting)

Just a little update on Rachel after the car accident, her muscle soreness and everything started to really kick in the 24-72 hours after and continued to get worse all week.  We went to her primary care doctor right away, the day after and we were able to get in on Mon with a Chiropractor that treats athletes.  She is pretty much messed up from her neck to her ankles!  So much that you cannot see physically, so we are headed for Xrays and then back to have them read, with a plan for treatment.  Even with this, she is blessed to be walking and upright and normal, just need to straighten out all of the kinked up spots!

Happy Stamping, see you again soon!

For my Mothers

Hi!

Today I'm sharing the card that I made for all the Mothers in my life!  Too bad that they have been made and waiting to send since early April, as this was also my swap card for my team meeting!  Dang, I am terrible at getting them actually mailed - so in the mail they go today, just my way of making Mother's Day last a little longer.  Should I mail the Father's Day cards today too?  just to be safe!

This card uses my favorite
Fresh Prints DSP Stack!
Delightful Dozen stamp set

Bunch a Punches, oh my!
Pansy Punch
Petite Petals Punch
Angled Tag Topper Punch
Bird Builder Punch (leaves)

Real Red stitched ribbon
Coastal Cabana ruffled ribbon
Whisper White Bakers twine
Rhinestone Jewels

Happy Stamping and I'm off to send a little love in the mail to my Mom, Mother-in-law and to my 2 sisters-in-law (God-Mothers to my girls)!

Hugs,
Rhonda

Headed to Washington DC!

Hi there!

I wanted to share my good news!  For the 1st time ever in my 16.5 years as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator I have earned an Incentive Trip award, The Getaway Vacation.  It is a 4 day all expenses paid land trip (not a cruise) and the location I have earned for 2014 is to Washington DC in late Sept.   The Grand Vacation is typically a week long trip and more times than not it is a cruise.  I'm so excited to have achieved this goal and want to thank you my amazing customers and my wonderful team of SU! demonstrators, as you have all helped me reach this goal!

The short story, I have never set the goal before as in the early days you had to earn 40,000 points in order to earn the Cruise and that was a lot more than I was personally selling.  A couple of years ago SU! revised some of its awards and things, and created the Getaway at 30,000 points and I thought, hmmm, I think I can do that.  During the past couple of years with Nicole heading off to college and Rachel soon to follow, I found myself asking myself, now what?  Do I go get a job?  What kind of job?  Career job like I used to have?  Minimum wage job?  ... well, the only answer I found comfort in was what if I stepped up my SU! business, could I do this and still work it (part time) around my family and not have to go to a real day job?

So last July, I set the goal to promote to Executive title (2500 pts), to get my personal sales back up around $22-25K (1 pt = 1$), and my attendance at SU! corporate events (Conv & Leadership, 1000 pts) ... so that put me in the ball park but would require a few points to still come from my direct downline (those that I have recruited) if they achieved promotions.  Which meant I needed to actively be looking for people to join my team.  Any how, more than you wanted to know but maybe someone was wondering how do you earn it, and so it has all come together!

So YAY me that I get to treat my husband to a Free Vacation for Two later this year - since we all know this is his fault ... because I *needed a hobby* all those years ago!  Well I have certainly found one that I love!  and THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping me!!

Okay off to upload some fun pics for you, since this one was really a fun pic for me!  But I just had to share my excitement.

hugs,
Rhonda

Two BIG reasons I went to Boise!

Hi!
Well these are the Two BIG reasons I made the trip to Boise in the first place!  Yes it was fun to get to just 'show up' at an event and not have to be the one doing the planning, preparations, hosting, etc ... just to be a guest and all, and hang with friends and meet more new friends, and see awesome displays and make some cute projects too!

But this is the "WHY" I went...  Kim Sinclair & Becky Roberts   ... double awesomeness!  Over the years I have gotten to know these two by attending our Stampin' Up! corporate events (Annual Conventions in July & Leadership Conferences in January) and through personal follow on conversations in between events, as well as stalking their blogs too.  They are truly sweet and I'm lucky to be blessed with their friendships and of course sharing our passion of Stampin' Up! is really fun too - they are both creative geniuses!!  Who wouldn't want to hang out with them?

Obvi, one of us did not get the memo about wearing black, thanks girls  ;)

Becky started off the day by sharing "Her Story" of how she was introduced to Stampin' Up! and the road to her beginning and how her journey has unfolded over the years.  It was nice to hear how it began for her and a good reminder to share our personal story!

Then sharing a moment for a photo op during the stamping portion of the event, we noticed later that our outfits and eyeglasses were well coordinated, such style!

And some fun, adorable special goodies from Becky & "winner-winner chicken-dinner" my lovely door prize too! (everyone was a winner, fun fun, ya gotta love prize patrol!)

And the trip ended with this ... smiling because we know we will see each other in a couple of months at convention in SLC, UT and the fun will continue!  Such a sweet  and thoughtful friend, only problem is she lives in MT and not in AZ, wishing she was around the corner ... but as she says, only a text or call away!

And what is more fun than sharing a room with friends, and late night girl chats ...  well of course the Roomie Gifts -  never expected but always appreicated, fun to give & receive!
So stinkin cute! and thoughtful, since I am the oddball non-chocolate loving pal

Walking through the airport, happened to look out the window and thought this was just beautiful, raining and wet when I arrived, gorgeous on Sat, and wet and raining as I left!

Ba-bye Boise!!  But I would come back again!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoyed my trip!  I know, I still haven't shown you to adorable cute projects we made, have I?  hmm, maybe there's still more!

Well, what a week so far!

Hey there!

It has been a not so fun week so far.  I was working on uploading some pictures to include in upcoming posts when I was interrupted on Monday afternoon.  Rachel called to let me know that she had just been rear-ended in an accident.  She was very calm and stoic, even though she was scared and in a bit of shock.  The gal behind her did not hit her brakes at all and hit Rachel traveling at 40-45 mph+ as she told the paramedics.  Both girls were fine on the scene but they did take the other driver to the hospital because her airbags deployed and she was feeling some discomfort in her chest from that impact.  Rachel has started to feel the impact to her body now that 24-48 hrs has set in.  She will be fine but she's getting sorer and tighter and tighter every day.  We've gone to the doctor Tues and we're heading to the chiro to have her alignment checked as well.  Lots of TLC and of course no dance for her, which is difficult for her to deal with but she knows and can feel her body's response right now without adding any other possible stress or injury to the situation.
And the bummer on Tues was they pretty much said that our vehicle, my beloved beast & beauty of a Yukon, was going to be totaled too (other car was obvious bc basically no front end left on hers) due to rear end damage, bent frame and under carriage damage ...  NO, say it isn't so ...  :'(
But one bit of happiness to the week happened last night, attending Rachel's High School Dance Banquet, she was voted by her peers as the Most Valuable Dancer for her company group.  It was so nice to see her beautiful smile returned to her sweet, loving face!  And my box of brand new Sneak Peek Goodies from the upcoming New Catalog arrived too ... more happiness for the week!

So anyway that's been my priority the past couple of days but I am going to continue with a few more pictures from my trip to Becky's Inking Idaho on the Road event.

Here are a few of my favorite swaps that I received!  All different but equally so cute!

And here's a couple of pictures with some of my NEW friends that I really got to know on Saturday during the event ... kind of when you know you just hit it off!  So much fun!  I wish there had been another day and more time to continue our conversations.

with Carrie Rhoades (sooooo much in common!)
She was an AMAZING guest presenter -using MDS & an e-cutter!

with Brittany Moon (super sweet and fun!)
and look at her amazing swap card below (Box Card - Pop Up!)

And here's Lorri and I working on our Make-n-Takes!  We got in trouble several times for "talking too much business" and for following the "rules"!  Both of us are from Phoenix but on opposite ends of town!  She did a FABULOUS demonstration too, queen of 3D!
and looky - a little gift for the AZ new catalog premiere event!  Sweet!!!

And we went to a lovely dinner after the event with a few gals at The Melting Pot!  Thanks for including me and I got the lucky seat by Becky, had so much fun getting to know her even more!  Nothing better than 1:1 or small groups of friends to enrich your life!

All righty, come back tomorrow too!  Next up is my BF Kim Sinclair and our host Becky herself!

Took a little trip!

Hi!
To continue with what else I have been up to, well I just got back from a little road trip to Boise, Idaho!  I met up with one of my sweet darling best friends that Stampin' Up! has introduced to me, Kim Sinclair from MT and we spent the weekend attending Becky Roberts Inking Idaho on the Road event!  It was a short weekend, but it was full of fun and stamping and giggles and girl time!

Friday we participated in her Business Resource event, which was a great way to hear her story and a bit more about getting started and taking off (if you want to go for it) or that it's perfectly okay to do as much or as little as you want.  The SU! business opportunity is very flexible with low minimums and no time commitment, if you've ever thought about joining or want to know more, please contact me!    It was a great evening catching up with a few friends from Boise that came to our September UFC event in MT too!  Shout out to my pals Jennifer, Helen & Delaney!!  And they were part of the crew that created amazing displays for the event, which we got to take pics of Friday before the crowds and event started Sat morning!

Amazing CREATE banner by Helen

Vintage display by Helen and muslin bags by Kim
 Beautiful Birthday BLAST by Kim
Adorable SWEETIE PIE best friends by Jennifer
And a BEST MATE display by Delaney!

They are wonderful friends and gorgeous stampers too! I'm so lucky!

I hope you enjoyed the post and come back tomorrow for more of the story!  And I will have a picture of Kim and I, and Becky and myself too, and many more ... stay tuned!  Kim arrived late on Friday because they drove in from MT and it was terrible weather and rain, so I didn't get one of us on Friday night.

A fresh new start!

Hi!
I hope you are all doing well and are in good health and spirits!  I cannot believe how long it's been since I've blogged but I am going to give it another effort!  I have been spending some time in My Digital Studio (Stampin' Up! digital design software) creating a new Blog Header - so leave me a comment and let me know what you think!  I certainly consider myself still a novice, but I'm trying!

It's been a busy few months since January and last you knew I was attending Leadership in Houston with my bestie and downline, Diana Gibbs. Well rest assured we safely returned and well, I guess I got busy and didn't make it a priority to post to my blog. Many of you follow my Facebook Business Fan Page, so you have been seeing my updates there.  I guess part of what I have come to realize is that "I" get in my own way because "I" don't think anyone out there is reading my lil' ol blog.  So in an effort to get out of my own way, I am going to try to blog daily or every other day.

So what's up?  What's been happening?

Well, on Monday April 28th, Stampin' Up! hosted a New Catalog Premiere from Long Beach, CA which was simulcast across the country in 39 theaters, with approximately 7600 demonstrators in attendance as they "unveiled" the NEW 2014-15 Annual Catalog!  It was exciting and quite fun and Diana and I were selected to work as helpers at the Mesa, AZ location.  So we checked people in, handed out prize patrol during the 2.5 hour premiere, and gave away SWAG on the way out!  It was so much fun.

I made 44 of these surprise Gifts to all of my downline members attending one of the premiere events across the country!  It's a new Project Life page and a team "Top 10" challenge too!  I was flattered that I shared my idea on a SU! Leaders board and a few people liked it enough to CASE it with their team!  Lesson learned, we shouldn't be so hard on ourselves, we should just enjoy it and not worry so much!

And here I am finally getting a chance to look at the NEW Catalog one morning!  As demonstrators we were able to place an order May 1st from a small selection of new products, to give us a month to play with a few things before the catalog goes "live" to customers on June 2nd at noon!

  • If you have ordered $75 from me during the prior catalog year, I will be sending you a free catalog (or handing you one if you live local) as a THANK YOU for supporting me and my business!
  • I also have NEW rounds of my Monthly Stampers Budget Club starting in June too, all club members will receive one FREE from me as well. Let me know if you'd like to Join the Fun!  Club includes both local and long distance members, so no worries if you're not in town or happen to be out of state!
  • Another chance to earn it for FREE is by placing a $50 order online between now and May 31st via my ONLINE STORE
  • I will have additional catalogs in stock too so please let me know if you'd like to have one, they are just $5 with a $5 coupon off your 1st order if you haven't earned one for free!
  • Catalogs have been ordered but are not yet here.
